Until recently, headset manufacturers relied on large earcups and headband force to help muffle aircraft noise. The tradeoff: more noise reduction usually meant a less comfortable fit. With the Headset X, proprietary TriPort® headset structure plus Acoustic Noise Cancelling® circuitry combine to deliver full-spectrum noise reduction from a smaller, lighter headset – with about 50% less clamping force than most conventional active designs. The solid magnesium headband is extremely lightweight yet durable, with a soft sheepskin cushion that eliminates "hot spots" on the head. The advanced center torsion spring maintains a consistent, comfortable fit. Earcups are angled to match the contour of your ears, and the soft, leather ear cushions provide an effective yet comfortable seal – even over glasses. Active equalized sound provides clearer audio and quality music listening between radio transmissions. The ergonomic portable control module places all headset functions at your fingertips.

AdaptiSense™ headset circuitry enables two AA alkaline batteries to provide at least 40 hours of operation, with real-time power status indicator and "smart" automatic shutoff. FAA/JAA TSO-certified to C-57a & C-58a – your assurance that the headset is designed and built to FAA standards for performance and endurance in harsh environments. Five-year limited warranty from the highly acclaimed FAA-certified Bose Service Department. Portable and installed models available.
